Hey, thanks for tuning in to another Partner Interview at EcomBalance. At EcomBalance, we’re all about creating win-win partnerships where we are able to grow with other companies in the eCommerce space.
In this exclusive interview, we interview Liran Hirschkorn from Incrementum Digital, an Amazon Focused Marketing Agency.
After growing and selling an Internet life insurance agency in 2014, Liran decided to get involved in e-commerce and selling on Amazon. Liran started several ecommerce brands that have sold millions of dollars on Amazon since. Today Liran is widely followed as a thought leader and speaker on marketing and selling on Amazon and is CEO of Incrementum Digital – an Amazon Focused Marketing Agency, and an advisor to http://8fig.co which helps brands with supply chain tools and growth capital. He lives in Long Island, New York with his wife and 2 kids.
We hope that you enjoy the interview and that it brings value to you as an eCommerce business owner.
Connor: Hey Liran, thanks for taking the time to chat with us here. We love getting to know our partners better so that our community can benefit from what our partners are offering and doing in the industry. To get started, can you give us a high level overview of Incrementum Digital and how it got started?
Liran: I started diving into Amazon ppc in 2015 and by 2018 I saw it get complicated and started to help sellers optimize their advertising. Since then it has gotten both more complicated and more important as Amazon ads have much more placements on the page and organic has gotten pushed further down the page. Today I’m grateful that with the amazing team we have, we work with over 200 brands and will manage more than $50 million in ad spend this year.
Connor: That’s awesome! Can you dive a bit more into the products and services that you offer to help with Amazon advertising management? I’m sure our audience would love to know exactly what problems you could solve for them.
Liran: We utilize all Amazon ad types and also manage Amazon DSP. In addition we also drive outside traffic into Amazon via google ads, influencers and social ads.
Connor: Jumping off of that…if there was one problem you’d say that Incrementum Digital solves best for your clients, what would it be? Why?
Liran: We help remove the complexity of using Amazon ads to scale your business while saving you time and money and simplify complex reporting so you can better understand the profitability of your SKUs and so that you can focus on other aspects of your business.
Connor: As the company continues to grow over the next year, what are your plans for expansion? Any new products or offerings or enhancements to your current products?
Liran: In the last year we have launched google ads to amazon and influencer marketing and are bullish on outside traffic sources.
Connor: And how specifically would you say that Incrementum Digital and your team is different from other similar businesses in the industry?
Liran: We have a deep understanding of Amazon and use the most advanced tools and strategies to help our clients. The majority of our business comes through referrals which is the greatest testament to the work our team does.
Connor: What made you decide to get involved in the ecommerce growth engine space? What’s your starting eCommerce story? From what we’ve found, a lot of business owners in the space have fun stories of how they first started…
Liran: In 2010 I started an online insurance business. But even before that going back to the 2000s I used to flip products on ebay. So when I saw a course about selling on Amazon in 2014, I could see the trajectory of ecommerce and started selling as a side hustle. The rest is history.
Connor: Love it! Talking more about the eCommerce industry, where do you see it going in the next 1-2 years? Any unique predictions that you could share?
Liran: Amazon as a service will become a thing – as they launch buy with prime, Amazon will be fulfilling for alot more of DTC brands and have their hand in a much bigger share of ecommerce.
Connor: Giving you an open mic for a minute, what is something you’d want the EcomBalance audience to hear?
Liran: I still think we’re in early innings of ecommerce. Live shopping, virtual shopping, and social commerce have not yet taken off in the U.S and as tech evolves ecommerce will continue to draw a greater share of retail sales.
Connor: Changing gears a little bit…When it comes to bookkeeping and accounting, what do you think the biggest pain points for business owners are? Feel free to speak from personal experience as well.
Liran: Ecommerce is complex. Your COGS are different for each order/shipment and many sellers don’t know their numbers as well as they should. Understanding insights from the numbers is really important to run a healthy business.
Connor: As we close this out, I just have one more question. Where is the best place to find and follow you and the company online? Also, if you have one, is there any special offer that you’ll be offering to the community today?
Liran: You can follow me on Facebook or Linkedin or my podcast ecommerce mindset and subscribe to Incrementum Digital newsletter on Linkedin and our Youtube channel.
